Reason for creating this plugin:<\/h4>\n\n

E-commerce is fast-becoming the convenient go-to in sales strategy for most sellers. Reason being cost-saving, wide reach and relative ease of management of clients and staff. Ghana, a developing nation has caught on to this recent rave. In doing this, Ghanaian e-commerce owners have also realized the ease, convenience and efficiency of using such a strategy with many choosing WordPress WooCommerce as their preferred E-Commerce system. However, the only inhibiting factor is the absence of a payment facilitation tool to complete the online buying experience.<\/p>\n\n

The advent of a free online payment tool developed by PaySwitch (Theteller) has made it possible for the wish of many e-commerce owners to be realized. We have therefore created this plug-in to enable the full integration of this payment tool with many e-commerce websites developed from WordPress with woocommerce.<\/p>\n\n

Automatic Installation<\/h4>\n\n

\u2022 Login to your WordPress Admin area\n\u2022 Go to \u201cPlugins > Add New\u201d from the left hand menu\n\u2022 In the search box type \u201ctheteller woocommerce payment gateway\u201d\n\u2022 From the search result you will see \u201cPaySwitch TheTeller WooCommerce Payment Gateway\u201d click on \u201cInstall Now\u201d to install the plugin\n\u2022 A popup window will ask you to confirm your wish to install the Plugin.<\/p>\n\n

NOTE:<\/h4>\n\n

If this is your first time you\u2019ve installed a WordPress Plugin, you may need to enter the FTP login credential information. If you\u2019ve installed a Plugin before, it will still have the login information. This information is available through your web server host.<\/p>\n\n

\u2022 Click \u201cProceed\u201d to continue the installation. The resulting installation screen will list the installation as successful or note any problems during the install.\n\u2022 If successful, click \u201cActivate Plugin\u201d to activate it.\n\u2022 Open the settings page for WooCommerce and click the Payments,\u201d tab.\n\u2022 On the sub tab for \u201cTheteller\u201d click on Manage.\n\u2022 Configure your \u201cTheteller\u201d settings. Manual Installation<\/h4>\n\n

\u2022 Download the plugin zip file\n\u2022 Login to your WordPress Admin. Click on \u201cPlugins > Add New\u201d from the left hand menu.\n\u2022 Click on the \u201cUpload\u201d option, then click \u201cChoose File\u201d to select the zip file from your computer. Once selected, press \u201cOK\u201d and press the \u201cInstall Now\u201d button.\n\u2022 Activate the plugin.\n\u2022 Open the settings page for WooCommerce and click the \u201cPayments\u201d tab.\n\u2022 On the sub tab for \u201cTheteller\u201d click on Manage.\n\u2022 Configure your \u201cTheteller\u201d settings. See below for details.<\/p>\n\n

Configure the plugin<\/h4>\n\n

To configure the plugin, go to WooCommerce > Settings from the left hand menu, then click \u201cPayments\u201d from the top tab. You should see \u201cTheteller\u201d as an option at the top of the screen. Click on manage.<\/p>\n\n

You can select the radio button next to Theteller from the list of payment gateways available to make it the default gateway.<\/p>\n\n

\u2022 Enable\/Disable \u2013 check the box to enable Theteller Payment Gateway.\n\u2022 Go Live \u2013 check the box to enable Live environment default is Test.\n\u2022 Title \u2013 allows you to determine what your customers will see this payment option as on the checkout page.\n\u2022 Description \u2013 controls the message that appears under the payment fields on the checkout page.\n\u2022 Currency \u2013 controls the currency that will be see on the checkout page. Default is Ghanaian Cedis(GHS).\n\u2022 Channel \u2013 controls the channel that will be allow on the checkout page. Default is : Both (Card & Mobile Money).\n\u2022 Merchant name or Shop Name Or Company Name \u2013 This will be for payment description. \n\u2022 Merchant ID \u2013 enter your Merchant ID here. Can be found on your Theteller merchant account.\n\u2022 Api User \u2013 enter your Api User here. You will get this on your Theteller merchant account.\n\u2022 Api Key \u2013 enter your Api Key here. You will get this on your Theteller merchant account.\n\u2022 Click on Save Changes for the changes you made to be effected.<\/p>\n\n

SMS Configuration<\/h4>\n\n

Theteller SMS allows you to send SMS to your customer as receipt after successfull purchase.\n\u2022 Enable\/Disable Theteller SMS \u2013 check the box to enable Theteller SMS.\n\u2022 SMS UserID \u2013 Your API USER. will be given upon registration.\n\u2022 SMS UserPass \u2013 YOUR API PASSWORD. will be given upon registration. \n\u2022 SMS SenderID \u2013 This control what user sees as sender. Must be register before. 11 characters Maximum.<\/p>\n\n\n

Do I need a merchant account before I can use the Theteller WooCommerce gateway plugin?<\/h3><\/dt>\n

\u2022 Yes. In order to use this plugin you will need a merchant account with Theteller.
