Kategoro shows single words or sentences on a large display area and lets your audience sort each one into one of four freely labeled, colored tiles with a single click. It is ideal for workshops, church groups, classrooms, team retrospectives and any interactive rating exercise, on a laptop screen or a beamer.

Features:

• A dedicated „Kategoro“ menu entry in the WordPress admin.
• Per set: as many words or sentences as you like (one entry per line) and two to six tiles with freely chosen labels and colors.
• Choose the number of tiles (2-6): for example 2 for yes/no or 3 for a traffic light.
• Automatic text contrast on tiles: the label stays readable on any tile color.
• Topics as parent categories: lines starting with a # are shown as a large divider slide before the following entries.
• Large display area with automatic font sizing; optional fullscreen mode.
• Light and dark design, selectable as the default and switchable in the frontend.
• Sorting by clicking a tile (or number keys, arrow keys, „F“, „T“); swipe left/right on touch devices.
• Undo button for the last action, plus automatic progress saving in the browser so an accidental reload does not lose the sorting.
• Overview: shows all entries grouped by tile; single entries can be removed or reassigned there, and each can carry an optional note (for example who is responsible).
• Save a sorting result, reload and change it at any time; optionally protect a saved result with a password that is required to overwrite or delete it (editors can reset or remove that password in the admin).
• Export as a print- and PDF-ready result page in the frontend, or download saved results as a CSV file (including the notes) from the admin.
• Insert entries via a shortcode or the „Kategoro“ block in the editor.
• Duplicate a set in the admin with one click.
• Import entries from a pasted list or a CSV/TXT file.
• Optional password protection for deleting saved results.

Shortcode

[kategoro id=“123″] shows the set with ID 123.
[kategoro id=“123″ result=“5″] additionally loads the saved result with ID 5.
[kategoro_result id=“5″] shows the saved result with ID 5 read-only: the program view and the overview with notes, but nothing can be changed.

Frontend usage

• Clicking a tile assigns the current entry and moves on.
• Clicking the same tile again removes the assignment.
• The arrow buttons or the arrow keys switch between entries.
• Keys 1-4 assign to the matching tile, „F“ toggles fullscreen, „T“ switches between the light and dark design.
• „Overview“ shows the full result grouped by tile.
• „Save“ stores the sorting; „Load saved“ brings it back.
• „Export“ opens a print- and PDF-ready result page.
